Rollerblades for Mike and Kay!

So my Mom is in this learn new things mode (which I admire) and the new task she wanted to learn...rollerblading! So you guessed it...she got rollerblades for Christmas. The surprise was that Daniel bought my Dad a pair as well, so that they could learn together. I was definately impressed, rollerblading is no easy task!

We went to see "A Christmas Carol" at Hale Theater with Tyler's family. It was a lot of fun. Here are pics before the show of me in my beanie and then Daniel in my beanie. Nice!

So I can't take a normal picture...

My family went to the Temple Lights last night and my sister-in-law realized that I cannot take a normal picture. She did however get a few "not normal" shots. Also am I the only one that has a husband that is more photogenic than me?

Success!

Tyler's party was a huge success. Thanks to all that helped and came! I especially liked his face as he thought he was walking into the SDC party and instead heard Surprise. His jaw remained open for several seconds and he stared blankly around. It was so funny and totally worth it. My confession: I have no pictures!!! Hosting a party is hard work, and I never had time to grab my camera. I know...the audacity! Here are some of my favorites of Tyler.

5K

Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law Tonya we ran our first 5K, the Undy 500 to cure/prevent colon cancer (you can imagine the clothes people chose to run in...) Our team name was "We Can Do It!" and we even go a sign. Check out the before race and after race pics. We are now training for a 10K in March and hopefully working up to a half marathon. Anyone want to join us?

My Mom and I went to Decor Unique and all their Christmas decorations were 50% off! I got this wreath and Santa for $14 (that is all together)! I only wish I could find cute Thanksgiving stuff...any suggestions?

Stimulating the economy

Tyler and I have been in the market for a new TV (one that is more feng shui) and we finally bought it. Also at best buy they had a deal for $100 off an Xbox with the purchase of a new TV...so Tyler got his birthday present early. The funniest part is that Tyler is in no way a gamer, however all of his brothers and my brothers are...so he bought an Xbox merely to fit in. Ah the things we do to fit in. Like when I used to wear bows..hahha!

Halloween pictures

For Halloween I was a broom. That's right a broom. Here are some photos of me at work and with my adorable nieces and nephews: Aidan (mummy), Davyn (vampire), Abby (EHS cheerleader), Jake (Flash), Lily (tinkerbell)

A few Sedona pictures

My entrance into the blogging world

Here goes the cliche: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Well this blogging craze has swept everyone and I purposefully did not join. My defenses however were wearing down. My best friend Alex has been at me for months to start a blog and showcase my new found hobby: photography. Well for her birthday (which is a day before mine) I decided to let her make me a blog. I gave her an array of other gifts, but she was most excited about that, I now know how to save money on her gifts! So here I am, in this blogspot world of talking about myself. Thanks for the warm welcome!
