DC trip

I got to visit Kristen in Pittsburgh. We also made a side trip to DC (which included two nights sleeping on a nasty bus...gotta love cheap transportation!) We met up with Chris in DC and he showed us all around. We even got important badges! DC is a beautiful city, with lots of cool things, but it was definitely humid (hence the picture of me looking like an airplane at the Smithsonian...I am not even a sweaty person!)

I have gotten to spend a little bit of time with all of my nieces and nephews this summer. It has been so fun! We have done crafts, went swimming, to the library and baked banana bread. Unfortunately...I have one picture. It is cute though! This is Abby and Jake making banana bread.

Petticoat

Thanks to Alex, I am a MAC girl. I love to wear MAC and experiment. Well when I first started to wear MAC I was unaware of the concept of limited edition things. Basically it is as it sounds, certain products are sold for a short period of time and if you don't buy multiples then you are out of luck. Well a few years back I made the mistake of falling in love with a limited edition mineralize skin finish blush called Petticoat. When I ran out I happily went to the MAC store to replace, only to lament at the new found knowledge of "limited edition". Ignorance really was bliss. Well for the last few years I have continued to mope at the sadness of not having petticoat. In fact, Alex says that I talk about it ALL the time (I cannot lie, I do). So this weekend Alex and I headed to the MAC store to purchase a few necessities I was low on, one being blush. Of course I went on and on about how even though the new color I had on (Warm Soul) was nice, it was nothing like Petticoat. Then...I turned and behold Petticoat was being sold again. Happiness in my heart. Now for the movie irony...it didn't look good on me! Needless to say my cheeks now radiate with Warm Soul! "It's like rain on your wedding day, a free ride when you've already paid" (although I never thought that song was outrageously ironic...not like my story anyway)

So I am awkward...

So Saturday my awkwardness sparkled through like a Tiffany's diamond. First, I called my sister-in-law, Amy, she answered but I thought it was one of my nephews so I asked if their mom was home. Amy responded with, "Jenna? this is Amy". I am an idiot.

Second, I was at a wedding for a longtime friend, so of course there was reminiscing and catching up with tons of people. This person that I have known since I was a kid walked in and we started talking. Well I hadn't seen him in over a year, and last I saw him his wife was really sick...
so of course I had to ask. "So where is your wife?"
He responds"I don't know"
I return with a puzzled look.
"We got divorced" he says.
"Really?" I said (he sounded kidding)
"Yes, really" he says.
I then ask if he was excited for the Super Bowl.

So much awkwardness!!!

Its been a long time...

So I haven't posted in a long time. Since my last post Tyler and I went to Vegas, I started my LAST semester at ASU, I went back to work, I had my first photography gig with Alex (We wrok for free!) and the list goes on!
